This week is British Science Week, which celebrates careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). After leaving my career behind as a science teacher, I decided to pursue my passion in science by becoming a data analyst at DIO.
From visiting military firing ranges to supporting multi-million pound infrastructure programmes, apprenticeships at DIO can offer a unique insight into the world of Defence.
I started my career as a chartered surveyor in a very conventional way. I followed the advice of my tutors and applied to all ‘big six’ firms I was directed to, and so my journey began.
